Somerville is home to several yoga studios, each of which has a bit of a different feel. Some have one or two classes a week, while others have classes almost all day every day. Some practice one type of yoga or cater to beginners, while others offer classes in a wide variety of yoga styles and levels. be. in Union Yoga

Located just outside of Union Square, be. in Union Yoga offers a full schedule of classes based on a style of vinyasa yoga that focuses on empowerment. From sunrise and donation-based classes to sessions suitable for moms-to-be or new moms and those just for beginners, be. has a lot to offer. Bow Street Yoga
34 Bow St.
This has been my go-to yoga studio for the last few years, so I may be a little bit biased when I say that it’s a terrific place to practice. Bow Street Yoga offers beginner, restorative and yin yoga classes as well as many diverse workshops. The studio is located in a renovated historic home in Union Square and has a relaxed, cozy feel. Drop-in rates, multi-class cards and unlimited monthly passes are available.

Brooklyn Boulders Somerville

Brooklyn Boulders Somerville offers way more than just rock climbing at its giant facility. The former envelope company houses co-working spaces, a shop, event rooms, cardio machines and a yoga studio. Brooklyn Boulders offers early morning yoga, classes that target a variety of experience levels and even one geared toward men that you can take with a membership or day pass.

O2 Yoga
288 Highland Ave.
This studio, located on the corner of Highland Ave. and Cedar Street, combines ashtanga and vinyasa yoga for a truly unique experience. O2 is one of the bigger studios in town and offers many classes each week that cater to those with varying yoga experience. I’ve attended a class there and loved that it was both athletic and relaxing. Drop-in rates, multi-class cards and unlimited passes are available and can also be used at O2’s Cambridge studio.

Samara Yoga

Located in the heart of Davis Square, Samara Yoga offers classes in a variety of yoga styles, including vinyasa, anusara and yin. There are classes offered several times a day each day of the week, which means there’s usually always something going on at Samara. Drop-in rates, multi-class cards and unlimited passes are available.

Some.Yoga.Studio
370 Medford St.
The owner of Some.Yoga.Studio grew up in the triple-decker that now houses her business, so while the studio is new, it’s got deep Somerville roots. Some.Yoga.Studio offers vinyasa classes for all levels that are a bit different: You reserve your mat ahead of time, so all you have to do is show up. Classes are currently offered on several weekday evenings and evenings and on Saturday mornings. Drop-in rates, multi-class passes and memberships are available. Plus you’ll find Some.Yoga.Studio giving free classes on Saturdays at 9 a.m. at Assembly Row all summer long.

This personal training and group exercise studio is located in Teele Square and offers several yoga classes in varying styles, including restorative and vinyasa. Some even focus on specific areas of the body, like the “Rock Your Core Vinyasa Yoga.” Yoga classes are offered several days a week and drop-in rates as well as multi-class passes are available.
